• The Krewe of Oshun will be rolling through Uptown starting at 6 p.m.
• The Krewe of Cleopatra will roll on the West Bank of New Orleans at 6:30 p.m.
• The Krewe of Pygmalion will be rolling through Uptown starting at 6:45 p.m.
• Krewe of Excalibur will roll through Metairie at 7 p.m.
• Krewe of Atlas will roll through Metairie at 7:45 p.m.
• The Krewe of Eve will roll through Mandeville at 7 p.m.

This will be the second weekend of New Orleans 2008 Mardi Gras Parades. The two Mardi Gras krewes that will be rolling this weekend are:
• Krewe of Brid
• Krewe of Slidellians
The Krewe of Brid will be rolling through Lakeview at 6:00 p.m. and the Krewe of Slidellians will be rolling through Slidell at 1:00 p.m.

Mardi Gras is a very famous Carnival celebration that occurs in New Orleans Louisiana. The first Mardi Gras celebration was in 1699 which was brought to Louisiana by early the French settlers.
Mardi Gras' traditional colors are Purple, Green & Gold. Mardi Gras' colors were choose in 1892 when the Krewe of Rex gave the colors their meaning in the theme "Symbolism of Colors" parade.
